Making a difference means getting involved

We all love to read or see the news and make our own comments or observations. We are glued to our favourite sports channel especially during the Olympics. What I love are the performances where they add PB – personal best! That is real achievement when we do more, go further or faster or higher than we ever have before!

That’s what we should all be aiming for in everything we do. Never miss an opportunity to do better, be nicer, give more, stretch your giftings and capabilities further than you ever have before. We don’t have to be on the sports field for this we can do this in our everyday life. Striving for a personal best in our family, friends, work, social, church and charity or philanthropy situations makes our lives richer and gives more purpose to our day.

This is going to require change in some aspects of our lives. Whether it be in getting up earlier, being more aware of others around us or taking time out to do something new every week or month or year it does not matter. We must just put our minds and thoughts into it and determine to do it and get involved. It is only in getting involved and engaging in something that we can truky make a difference in our own lives as well as the lives of others.

Does change cause you to pull up short and want to back away? you are not alone this is the reason so many of us stay in our comfort zones but the result is that growth and new horisons never come our way and we end up with regrets. Often we fear that change will bring loss to us but that is not necesarily true. What the possibility is, is that we could lose something that we acually dont really need in our future and gain something better and greater that is very necessary for a personal best in our future.

Challenge – FInd something new or push the envelope on something you are already involved in, strive for a personal best and make a difference. We can only do this if we get involved! So lets become participators rather than just spectators. Get involved and make a difference!

  1. I have been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours these days,
yet I by no means found any fascinating article like yours.
It is pretty value sufficient for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made just right content material as you
probably did, the internet can be much more useful than ever before. http://bing.org/
